Best Contemporary German Restaurants in Ketsch

What a cute place with quaint decor. I was greeted so kindly and the warm welcome lattes throughout dinner. I had the one-piece trout and the fried potatoes as they are well known for. Just as promised- no bones! Great place directly across from the bridge. Only reason for 4 star is because it was expensive- soup, trout and 1 gin/tonic was 60€

Schrieder's is in the Hilton Heidelberg hotel, so it's convenient for those with a room. However, as hotel restaurants go, it was very nice with a charming atmosphere, comfortable furniture and good food. The service was most likely the best part of my rating. Our server was genuinely kind and experienced. Food was delicious, although there were not too many options on the menu, and it was also not available online. It was rather pricey but I am not too familiar with the area. Overall, a good option for anyone visiting Heidelberg

This was an excellent experience for the family on Christmas Day. The host Slim was very cordial and spoke English to us. The food was probably the best we’ve had in over a year. Wonderful pairings, meat that almost melted in our mouths it was so tender. I would definitely come back.

Excellent food and service in a comfortable, unpretentious setting. My Schweinebraten was so tender it almost needed a spoon. Even the accompanying carrots were cooked perfectly. My husband’s Rinderroulade was delicious also. We speak only a little German but the staff kindly used English with us. Wonderful meal to end our month of travel in Germany!
