Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Skippack

First, you can't beat the ambience of this 4-masted sailing ship turned restaurant built in 1904 docked on the Delaware waterfront in Philadelpha. Add to that superb cuisine and service and it made for a memorable Valentine's Day dinner (a day late), Baked brie appetizer was excellent and large enough to share. My wife's scallops and my Alaska halibut were similarly outstanding. We both enjoyed the 2019 Mosel region Riesling that went well with dinner. To top it off, our server was one of the best ever. The Moshulu is not cheap but not outrageous, especially for the quality. If you drive there, parking is $20.

Wow, I’ve never had a dining experience quite like it!!! Staff and service went above and beyond. It was Valentine’s Day, and the staff signed a card for us! The food was so fresh and flavorful. The flavor of that Caesar salad… I’ll be raving about it forever.

Abby, (Management) and Jasmine (my fabulous, friendly Waitress with) et al..I can't say enough about their courtesy, constant attentiveness the ambiance, the gastronomical pleasure, the fact that me, myself and I were overwhelmed with the feeling of plenty of self-love. It did not matter that my date could not make it on this particular socially interpreted holiday. It was a night that melted my heart in so many wonderful ways. I am sharing this experience with everyone I know and whomever I meet. A perfect place to enjoy for all of your plans. I am looking forward to the "CHEERS" feeling again and again. Excellent as Usual———I saw someone eating an avocado toast, and it looked so good I tried it, it was divine and the truffle fries outstanding. My husband really enjoyed his Special Breakfast and of course the flower pot bread with the cinnamon butter was so good.. The non alcoholic drinks were so tasty. I have had the alcoholic ones before, and they are great, but decided on non-alcoholic this time.. No complaints!!

Started out with cocktails. Delicious. Next course, crab and asparagus bisque. Scrumptious. I ordered the center cut fillet, cooked medium. Steak was cooked to perfection, seasoned just right, delicious to eat. My wife ordered diver scallops, and shrimp ravioli. She said it was the best meal ever. Our waitress was so friendly and the service was outstanding.
