Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Melrose Park

We had to wait at least 30 minutes or more before the server gave us water and bread. I honestly thought she had forgotten about us. Turns out they were short staffed and she was handling too many customers at a time. My order wasn’t right (ordered chicken but got fish). This is the second time this has happened. I love Cooper’s Hawk but y’all need to get yourselves together

This neighborhood restaurant rivals any experience downtown! The staff is very attentive and friendly. We have so many menu favorites. For an appetizer, the ropa vieja with a side of guacamole and an order of queso fundido are delicious and a great way to start your meal. The mole sauce on the chicken enchiladas is excellent paired with a side of elote. Other entree favorites are the carne asada, barbacoa tocos and fire roasted shrimp. I love this Mexican restaurant with a Latin influence!

Really amazing service and food. We had drinks and appetizers before going to the Arts Center including the Serbian bread and a plate with speck and burrata and everything was delicious. It’s such a pretty room with a great soundtrack and atmosphere and the service was so personal. It was one of the top restaurant experiences I’ve probably ever had.

I had visited Rustico's original location on Lake Street in Oak Park when it first opened. I was not impressed. My family and I checked out the Oak Park Avenue location last night and I was in for a very pleasant surprise. This is a completely different, wonderful restaurant! All of our dishes were top notch and the service was very attentive. Also, it was completely full of diners. Obviously, my neighbors have been on to a great thing before I was. I'll definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely evening, Rustico!

The Date Night menu is perfect. Solid choices, great value. We go a couple of times a year to this friendly little place.
