- OTOpenTable DinerNorthampton/Northamptonshire •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoSuch a lovely welcome, the door was held open when we arrived before we even got close to the entrance. Equally when my partner went outside to settle our baby, again the door was held open when he was ready to come back in. The preempting and attentiveness was spot on, a great touch. Loved the food and the atmosphere. Service was lovely, staff really accommodating with us having small children. Great to see previous feedback by another customer had been taken onboard about it being chilly by the door and a powerful heater was in situ. We can’t wait to come back as a couple for a date night minus the baby for the taster menu. Thank youMore infoEmberPrice: Expensive• British• Wellingborough•4.9
- AAlanNorthampton/Northamptonshire •6 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoDelicious food, great ambience, attentive staff and an enjoyable experience. First time trying this venue after the new owner took over and what a remarkable experience after the previous owners efforts. Bernard (new owner) has got it spot on with his varied and choice menus with theme nights offered weekly together with a la carte choices. Something for everybody's taste and a decent wine selection. We opted for the crispy chilli calamari starter followed by the king prawn curry with papadums and nan. The calamari was super soft with just the right amount of kick from the chillies. The curry was a welcome change from the normal pub curries and had a Mauritian slant to it in a rich tomato base with really decent size king prawns and steamed basmati. . The portions were substantial! We were offered a complimentary desert celebrating our wedding anniversary and it came in the form of apple crumble with custard and ice cream ….. the crumble being very fine and perfectly baked. I can thoroughly recommend the Old Pheasant and looking forward to the Friday night fish feast which has become a firm favourite with locals.More infoThe Old PheasantPrice: Moderate• Pub• Uppingham•4.5
- JJulieLeicestershire •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoFantastic meal today. Took my mom out for early Mother's Day meal. 3 meat carveries and one vegetarian meal. All the food was fantastic, the gammon in particular was tasty and succulent. As always an exceptional variety of veg and sauces. Can't wait to go back. Was busy so would definitely recommend booking to avoid disappointment.More infoSondes ArmsPrice: Moderate• British• Rockingham•4.2
