Best American Restaurants in Governors Island

One of my favorite restaurants in NY. Sunday brunch feels like a big extended family. Great food, multi-generations, cozy and modern with the best energy. Best French Toast. Amazing grilled cheese with tomato sandwich . It’s all good no matter when you go. Classic NY.

The drink menu was exceptional, featuring standout options like the Paper Plane, which is a personal favorite and is listed as one of their signature cocktails. The Spicy Margarita was equally impressive, offering a perfect balance of heat and flavor. To start, the pear salad was a refreshing and flavorful choice, setting the tone for the meal. However, the true highlight of the evening was the pot pie. The crust was impeccably flaky and golden, while the filling was rich, savory, and utterly satisfying. The service was both friendly and efficient, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. This restaurant is a gem, and we highly recommend it for anyone seeking a memorable meal in a warm and historic setting.

The Israeli host was absolutely incredible and made sure we had a good service and experience. I am very pleased. The service was great and the food was amazing, the concept of the outdoor seating is so nice, we had an amazing time

We really enjoyed our experience at the restaurant. We chose to do a pre-valentine's day (we tend to celebrate the day before to avoid the crazy crowds). The place was excellent in terms of service, food and ambiance. The deco is super, there was a jazz band playing and the overall experience was great. Definitely a must go and a place where we will go back.

Always a treat... food, ambiance and service were excellent. We were there for restaurant week and the only disappointment was that the steak did not come with anything. I can understand charging extra for sides, but at least put a bit of parsley or garnish on the plate.
