Best Steak Restaurants in Cave Spring

Excellent food from presentation to flavor. The atmosphere was amazing. We didn’t get to enjoy the patio area as much as it was too cool. We will definitely be back for more amazing food and to fully check out the patio.

Two of us dined here to celebrate my wife's birthday. Appetizers were very good (beet salad and she crab soup), but the main entrees (duck & pork chop) were only OK. Pork chop was well cooked, but the sear made it taste mostly of charcoal and overpowered the other tastes. It was moist but fairly tough. Carrots were hard and bitter and purple cauliflower just looked strange! My wife said the duck was very good, but also avoided the veggies. Biggest surprise and disappointment were the dessert offerings. My wife was offered a free selection from the dessert menu for her birthday (which was nice), but it turns out that all four selections contain High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) to which she is allergic. We have never encountered this problem at a high-end restaurant before - typically they make their desserts from scratch (HFCS is found in low-end processed ingredients). Even their ice cream had it! We ended up having dessert at home.

I have to admit, Cast has the best fries anywhere. Hot, crispy, salty - yum. Our server (whose name I didn't get) was energetic and helpful, and brought everything quickly. I am not eating bread these days, so was a little disappointed that you don't offer a bun-substitute (lettuce wrap?) for a burger. But the burgers were done as requested, medium rare. Your iced tea is even good!

Always enjoyable!! My restaurant of choice when entertaining out-of-town guests.
