Best Californian Restaurants in Monte Rio

One of our favorite restaurants in Sonoma. Ideal location from our accommodations at Bungalows 313, delicious food (braised short ribs, salmon, risotto and shrimp & grits). We shared appetizers (Tuna tartar and Ceasar Salad) and desert (molten chocolate cake). All the seating was inside because of the weather, so it was a little crowded. EDK is great value for food and service!!!

Always a great experience at Rooftop 106. Great food, service, and ambiance (especially outside on the roof).

i’ve loved John Ash for years, but after the last two times dining it seems they are getting too pricey for the product. the service remains excellent, though. My pork sugo was bland and 2 pieces of pork were too fatty. the wine mark-ups are brutal. we paid $79 for a bottle that retails for $25. the bar is fantastic and we’ll certainly return there, just probably do our next birthday dinner elsewhere.
