Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Coconut Creek

The food is excellent. We've been dining here for close to 30 years. The food is consistently great. The service is always solid. What's not so great is the pricing. As everything is going up, Il Mulino's pricing is becoming comical. The restaurant was fairly empty on a Thursday evening, and we've never had any trouble being seated quickly upon arriving the last several visits. We were charged $3 for an extra side of salad dressing. I would have to believe that the lack of business can only be caused by the exorbitant pricing. Hopefully, this changes soon as it would be a shame to see another terrific place go away.

Excellent food and great service. All home made dishes, by a famous chef and at very reasonable prices. Pizza unbelievable. Shrimp the size of a lobster tail larger than half a pound each. Truly the best real Italian restaurant around.

I love Sette Mezzo! This last experience was not up to par. I ordered penne a la vongole. The clams were delicious however the "soupy sauce" lacked taste. My friend has pappardelle with shrimp which also lacked taste. I have had seafood there in the past and it's always been good. Please do not take this as a bad review 'cause the food is normally superb. I believe there may have been a new chef. I shall definitely return to Sette Mezzo. Of note we ordered a custard tart with fresh fruit, scrumptious, at $14.00! Our waitress, Rachel, very attentive and apologetic. The manager did discount a portion of our bill.
