We celebrated my best friend’s birthday on Valentine’s weekend, and chose the Valentine’s Day Omakase Special, which was absolutely delicious. But the real standout dishes were from their traditional menu. The Spicy Crispy Tuna Rice was an unforgettable treat—the rice was perfectly crisped to a golden crunch, while the tuna was a harmonious blend of sweet and spicy, so fresh and full of flavor. And the Bone Marrow? It was like butter—meltingly soft, warm, and bursting with rich, savory goodness that made every bite heavenly. To top it all off, our waiter Lee was phenomenal. He was so attentive, kind, and knowledgeable, making the whole evening feel special. He surprised us with roses, complimentary champagne, and a birthday sorbet for my friend with a candle—such a thoughtful touch! The sorbet was so refreshing and a perfect end to our meal. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were top-notch, and I would rate the whole experience a 12/10. We started with a manhattan cocktail and a pomegranate margarita which were fine. After drinks we ordered the bruschetta appetizer and found it to be delicious. The finely chopped tomatoes made it light and tasty. For entrees we ordered the chicken calabrese which was surprisingly spicy but anticipated a spicier entree as it does have calabrese peppers. We also ordered a pizza that was 1/2 gringo loco and calabrese. A combination of two of their specialty pizzas. I enjoyed the calabrese pizza more. Overall our waitress was great, and even though it was busy, we were happy with our service.
