Best American Restaurants in Jamaica Estates

My husband and I have been going to Dee's for 16 years. It's a great family-friendly restaurant with a casual upscale vibe — perfect for a laid-back date night. We loved the friendly atmosphere, the service and the menu. Our favorites were the rosemary focaccia, salads, pasta and pizza. Over the years, the food and service suffered. We would go back every so often to taste-test, and to our delight, the level of food and service returned to what we had initially loved. Last night we took our parents there and everything was perfect. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. We had the rosemary focaccia, Dee's salad, short ribs, spaghetti and meatballs, the chicken milanese and some sides. We also had a great bottle of Montepulciano (which turned out to be half-price — what a nice surprise). Can't wait to go back with our extended family.

My first time and it was amazing. My wait staff was amazing and on point with service. Highly recommended and will be attending again.

The seafood pasta was very good. The udon dish was tasty but overcooked. We enjoyed the muscles, but the dumplings were so so.

Table service was amazing. The “waitstaff” cleared our table of finished plates and wrappers as we worked through our feast. They were attentive and pleasant which made the experience so much more fun. The tablecloths and chair coverings did me in!! It made the ambiance feel clean, welcoming, and exceptionally cozy of “restaurant quality” versus a fast food joint. Wonderful night and I tell all of our friends about White Castle Valentine’s Day reservations!
