- TTaylorAtlantic Canada •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThe Keg in Dartmouth crossing was an amazing experience. Hubby and I went for our anniversary, when booking the reservation we said what we were celebrating. The food was amazing, right from the starter bread to our dessert. Steaks are always our choice when we go there as it’s done to perfection every time. Our waiter was top notch, he had great knowledge about the menu and gave us lots of tips. He was super friendly and was the perfect combination of making sure we were cared for but also leaving us be to enjoy our meal. Everything was ready in good time, drinks were awesome as well. Because we were celebrating our anniversary, our waiter made sure we received a complimentary dessert to share, which was incredible. We definitely left bellies full and hearts happy. It was a great spot to celebrate us and we definitely recommend going there.More infoThe Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Dartmouth CrossingPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Dartmouth•4.7

That was a good decision because it turned out to be a memorable experience! The counter seating is essentially like bar seating (and the stools have nice, comfortable backs) but you are directly in front of the kitchen. We were both fascinated by the cooking and plating process. How that number of people can move around a small kitchen without bumping into each other is beyond me! Chef Bebbington and his crew were fascinating to watch, and all did their jobs superbly. My wife opted for the Chef’s Tasting Menu and I had a Tuna Tartare dish to start followed by the Denver Steak. All the dishes were unique, featured many local ingredients and nicely blended visual, texture and taste in complimentary ways. The wine pairings that my wife had (and generously shared with me) were well done and appropriate. Halifax certainly punches above its weight when it comes to fine dining and Tribute is a welcome addition to the culinary scene.More infoTributePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Halifax•4.9

Lovely touch. Then they surprised us a delicious treat in between our starter and main course. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. - JJanCentral Kentucky •10 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 22, 2025This was our first time for lunch at Edna, though we are pretty experienced with dining there in the evening. It’s a short lunch menu but we liked that, and everything on it looked equally appetizing. My friend ordered the nova lox and I had the fish cakes. Both were superb, and were accompanied by perfectly poached eggs and a fresh mass of bright simple greens. I also had the soup of the day which was a delicious silky miso zucchini concoction that tasted, mysteriously, of porcini mushroom. The chef told us the soup contained no mushrooms so, . . . maybe the magic of miso? Service was impeccable, as it always is when we are in for supper. The restaurant was not quite full— and was quiet, which it is not at supper time. A restful and satisfying midday break.More infoEDNA RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Bistro• Halifax•4.8
