Best Dog Friendly Restaurants in San Marcos

My girlfriend and I go there a lot. We usually split the Caesar salad, which is the best ever Caesar! Today we split the avocado toast. It was pretty bland for our taste. We usually think of avocado toast as having some sort of little kick, but this had none. Salt and pepper helped a little, then we asked for some aoli, which was chipotle mayo, which also helped. But we both decided that we wouldn’t order it again.

The service was great and food was tasty, but the noise level was really loud throughout the restaurant and several nearby tables were oblivious to the fact that they were disrupting everyone else’s dinner.

The short ribs and the crispy Brussels sprouts, asparagus and mashed potatoes with sauce were outstanding!

We like the ambiance. The food is inconsistent though. Last time we were there, the Scarface pasta was much more creamy and had more mushrooms. this time not so much and the dish wasn't as warm as it could have been. Our waitress was nice but she forgot a few things and then overcharged us. We caught it and it was all good. I spoke to the manager ahead of time because we were perhaps planning a large party in the near future for wedding. She was expecting us but she never came over to the table to speak with us. Anyway, we'll probably be back

we celebrated my dads birthday brunch and it was our first time here. everyone was super awesome from the moment we walked in. we were so shocked that the portions were HUGE. i highly recommend sharing. (order the crispy broccoli- it’s so delicious!) the drinks were super yummy too!! my dad loved the breakfast shot and my mom loved ray ray’s coffee cocktail! overall a great experience and can’t wait to go back soon.
