- KKaiEast Sussex •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoNot usually one to write reviews, but I felt compelled to by the absolutely outstanding dinner my partner and I had last night for Valentines. I had the scallops to start followed by the venison for main - one word, unbelievable. My partner had the Carbonara to start followed by the Guinea fowl. - both, she said, were incredible. To top it all off we enjoyed some complimentary homemade breads, an Amuse-bouche and some beautiful homemade chocolates. Incredible food complimented by an amazing service, and ambience. Both of us are non drinkers and so it was nice to see some mocktail options on the menu as well! Genuinely couldn’t recommend more. We’re already planning our next visit, just wish we had room for desert as well! - next time!More infoLandgate BistroPrice: Expensive• British• Rye•4.7
- JJohnEast Sussex •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis is a small plate restaurant but that’s not a bad thing. Each dish on the evening menu is a delicious but generous starter. You can order between four or six dishes between 2 people and mix and match them as they are served by the attentive staff. We had five and it was enough with a sweet to end the evening. The layers of flavour were inspired and a delight for the palate. Recommend without question.More infoThe Fig RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Global, International• Rye•4.8

- LlouisaHertfordshire •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoThis pub has outstanding food. The atmosphere was buzzy but not noisy. We had bar snacks to start, followed by starters, the Rarebit was delicious, mains, my burger was amazing, and the dessert, dark chocolate ganache, was also fantastic. I would recommend this pub to anyone looking for good quality locally sourced food. Jake the general manager was friendly, attentive and knowledgable about everything on the menu, including the wine menu.More infoThe PloughPrice: Moderate• Pub• Rye•4.8
- TTracyEast Sussex •4 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 7, 2025Beautiful setting & the lighting & dining area is warm comfortable & cosy. The staff were very attentive & engaging & we felt very welcomed. My only slight negative is that the menu is very limited, albeit the food was delicious.More infoThe George in RyePrice: Expensive• British• Rye•4.3
