It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation.     Citron 👏👏👏👏👏The attention from the entire staff along with the food and presentation was a night to cherish. Myself and three guests talked about our dining experience at Citron as we drove home. If you want the Michelin experience I recommend Citron at Quarry Lakes!

    We really enjoyed our experience at Linwoods. The food and the service were outstanding. We went for Valentine’s Day and the atmosphere was fantastic!! The restaurant was crowded but they handled it real well and made our night very special 😊

    It had been a while since we had dined here. Only the second time since they renovated and reopened. While it isn't quite as fancy as before, the food remains good. A few items are off the menu (a good spinach salad for starters) the menu remains strong. We both had steaks which were cooked as requested. We had a great meal.

    My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at The Ruxton on a random Monday night, and it turned into an unforgettable experience. We went with a mix of appetizers—grilled oysters, potato gnocchi in sage brown butter with goat cheese, Wagyu beef sliders, and king crab cocktail. It was a completely random selection, but every dish was outstanding. The gnocchi was rich and perfectly balanced, the Wagyu sliders were incredibly flavorful, and the king crab was fresh and sweet. All of it was complemented beautifully by a fantastic Sancerre. What truly elevated the evening, though, was our server, Sammy. Not only did Sammy provide exceptional service, but we also had a great conversation throughout the night. Engaging, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, Sammy made the experience even more memorable. It’s rare to have such a combination of incredible food and outstanding hospitality. I’ll definitely be returning—and when I do, I’ll be asking for Sammy!
