Best Historic Restaurants in Fair Oaks

We had an amazing experience today for my husbands birthday! Chris was our server and did a great job. The food was delicious and so were the drinks! The oysters were great and for the shrimp and grits were the best my husband has had. Means a lot coming from someone who only rates food pretty good! Chris also did a great job staying calm and managing a completely rude and disrespectful customer who is why I gave the ambiance a 3. It’s not at the fault of the restaurant but the fault of a horrible customer! Chris continue doing great things and way to remain calm and kind even when someone was over the top! Thank you Kelly’s for a great lunch! We will definitely be back and will spread the word to our Herndon Village! Totally worth the drive!

I disovered Trummers quite by accident when I looking for Truffle Fries for my son. We found Trummers, and the fries and their chicken were outstanding. That's when I knew I had to bring my wife here for Valentine's Day. And Trummers did not disappoint! That meal was the best we've had since moving to Virginia. If you are having trouble finding great food, service, and atmosphere, I can't rave about Trummers enough.

I got the Valentine's special - Appetizer, main course, and dessert. There were so many good choices that it was difficult to decide. The deviled eggs were good. The salmon w. carrots and rice was excellent, along w. the apple bread pudding w. homemade vanilla ice cream. The service was excellent and very pleasant and prompt in spite of a birthday party taking place in the larger room and other diners coming and going. The overall experience was quite good and well worth more visits. The 3 course special for $30 was well worth it.

I would go back again. Everything was wonderful, the pesto sauce was a little runny and didn’t have much flavor, but maybe that was because they were overbooked on Valentine’s Day. I’m going to go again to see if it’s different on a regular dinner night. I definitely like the staff. 

The food was excellent service was quick and courteous. Would recommend for any couple looking for an amazing date food and wine were worth ever dollar
