Chaplin's Restaurant & Bar is a 1930's style Japanese Ramen House and cocktail bar. Chaplin's Executive Chef and Partner, Myo Htun, is originally from Burma, but was cooking ramen in Japan at a young age. Myo received a blessing from his mentor in Japan after nearly 30 years of cooking in Japan, to come to America and continue to showcase his authentic Ramen and traditional Japanese cuisine. Chaplin's Restaurant demonstrates the aesthetic of a bustling ramen house in Japan in the 1930's silent film era. There is also a large outdoor dining area that is dog friendly.     Pleasantly surprised by the selection and style of this restaurant. It's part of a hotel, so don't walk the extra distance looking for a street-level entrance like we did. Friendly staff and not a long wait for food and drinks, as well as tasty food selection. Would definitely recommend a light dinner with cocktails at this spot.

    There is no lunch menu. It is brunch (breakfasty items you can elevate to lunch). Food d was taaty but menu small. Waitstaff do not check inon you soon enough (3rd time there, same experience: waitstaff are alao bartender ao they are mixing drinks while you wait for them to show up to aak for ketchup!) Good location, good food, will go again because it is convenient to UMD. Hope they retrain staff to visit table often.
