Behind an unmarked door adjacent to the wine room, guests are transported to District 1 (China Town) in Saigon via Blackhouse’s 28-seat restaurant-within-a-restaurant, LSXO. A spinoff of the Little Sister brand (Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach & Downtown Los Angeles), LSXO is love letter to the culture, heritage, and lineage of Vietnam (Vuong’s relatives hail from the region). While Little Sister is known for its French Vietnamese menu, LSXO follows the same Southeast Asian inspiration with a more refined feel. “There is no signage for LSXO—you can spot the entrance of it tucked into a section inside Bluegold, but you’ll have to know it’s there. While Bluegold is light, bright, and airy, LSXO is its darker, edgier little sister,” says Vuong. “Both restaurants operate out of the same kitchen, though the menus are completely different.     It was Valentine’s Day, I thought I had made a mistake. But the service and quality of food were just as good as usual. The place was packed and we did get seated a little after our reservation time. But the staff did a great job getting to everyone. Even some complimentary champagne while we waited. Our waitress, Sunny, was great and big shout out to the chefs in the back. See you soon Ruth’s Chris in LB.

    Our service was outstanding. Ray was personable and friendly but not overly attentive which is exactly what I like when I want to talk to my wife while eating out. The food was great and I enjoyed the overall quality of the restaurant. While it was for a Valentine Day dinner it wasn’t anything but nice and enjoyable without being tacky or exaggerated. Will absolutely recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

    My husband and I had an incredible dining experience at LSXO in Huntington Beach. The service was exceptional, and the drinks were expertly crafted. Every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented, making for a truly memorable meal. We left feeling completely satisfied and can’t wait to return!
