Mertens Prime, located in the historic 1914 New Hotel Mertens lobby in Grand Rapids, offers locally sourced, in-house hand-cut steaks, chops, and unique takes on classics.     We had to make a concert and we’re worried about being tight on time since it was a busy Saturday night, but the service was prompt! We received our food within 15-20 minutes of ordering and our server Payton was on top of it the whole time with attentiveness! (THANK YOU, PAYTON FOR A PLEASURABLE DINING EXPERIENCE). The food was delicious and the bread was warm and fluffy. The lemon cake was probably my favorite. We will be back next time we’re in the area!

    We went last night for my 58th birthday. Having dinner here had been a bucket list restaurant to try and it did not disappoint. Our server Jala was extraordinary! She was so knowledgable, friendly and delightful to interact with. The food was outstanding. The shrimp beignets and my salmon had so much flavor and cooked perfectly. We really enjoyed trying the absinthe service and the tableside bananas foster was the perfect ending to the evening. We never felt rushed and it definitely felt like an event. It was a lovely evening!

    We always have the best dining experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. The cocktails are creative and the wine selection is fantastic. It is a great experience, highly recommend this restaurant.

    What an amazing experience in the igloos outside during winter. They were warm and we could connect to Bluetooth to play our own music. It over looked the Grand River and offered beautiful views. We received VIO treatment the moment we pulled up in our car. Hannah our server was gracious and so kind. She went above and beyond to deliver us a hot chocolate experience for my mother. All of the food and drinks were delicious and warm. We will definitely be coming back here again! I highly recommend this place. ❤️
