Located at Atherton Mill in Charlotte's historic South End neighborhood, Indaco (Italian for "indigo") serves Italian cuisine. Wood-fired pizzas, hand-crafted pastas, housemade salami and cured sausages fill the restaurant's menu which can be enjoyed family-style or a la carte. With an open kitchen, and a comfortable atmosphere, Indaco can seat approximately 85 guests inside for a casual night of food and drinks. South End was home to Charlotte’s first railroad line, connecting us to Columbia and Charleston, SC in the mid-1800’s. “Link & Pin” is an old railroad term. A “Link” was installed on one railcar then, as the two railcars were joined, a “Pin” was manually inserted into the other railcar’s link, holding the two railcars together.     This was an excellent special event hosted by McNinch House with wine pairings from Laure Levesque of Queen of Wines in Durham. It was a fun social event along with great food, wine, and service. McNinch House is always Charlotte's premier restaurant and keeps getting better. We love coming here.

    We had a party of five for Saturday brunch, but at the last minute, we changed to a party of seven. Despite it being a very busy day, the hostess was fantastic—she found a table to accommodate us without hesitation and with a warm smile. Her effort made our experience even better

    The food was amazing. We were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and they gave him a birthday gift and they gave said a free dessert and a free side of potatoes. The service was great and it was a very romantic place to have dinner. We will definitely be coming back.

    Everything was great. My only suggestion is to add more lighting to small corner tables with no sconces above them. It was hard to read the menu with just a tea candle and enjoy seeing my food color & presentation.
