Our dining room has limited space and we don’t offer high chairs, so please let us know in advance if you're bringing a pram or need to adjust your booking size. Here's when we're open, so you can find what you're looking for:Weekdays: Bar 3-11pmKitchen 6-10pmWeekends: Bar 12-11pm (10pm Sunday’s)Kitchen 1-5pmKitchen is closed on Men’s Arsenal home games.

Tired of the loosely French inspired humdrum of restaurants popping up across the city of London? Do you like holidays? Do you like cold drinks and warm service? If you've answered yes to one or more of these then perhaps Tollington's can refresh both your pallet and your mind. The idea came from a mirror in an antiques market and a love for a more informal approach to dining, the result is a chippy in North London with old church pews bolted to the walls to be leaned on and eaten from. The focus is on fish but the menu transcends fish, mammals and vegetables, leaving no stone unturned in the never ending quest for flavour. Split between two rooms, the front the engine, the kitchen and bar shared by customers as they perch on bar stools and enjoy dinner and a show. The back, bookable room is lower, lower lighting, lower seating, perhaps a slight calm compared to the front room, here works of art from friends of the restaurant adorn the walls and floors.Book now to reach Nirvana.

The food was amazing Ì was happily surprised by every dish. Service was also great and the ambience feels very cozy and welcoming. Would definitely come back. The only thing that I should comment was that the food was coming too fast to our table, which made the whole experience feel a bit rushed.

Very tasty and well-presented food, but glad we didn’t order as much as we were advised we would need. All served at good intervals and there was no rush on the return of the table. We all agreed the wine was very expensive so we chose the house white, which was disappointingly thin and served from an unmarked and open bottle. (Needs to be more choice at the under £50 a bottle end!)

Great food, great service. I’ve been in plimsoll before because their burger. I couldn’t come back with some friends to let them try it too. We got 5 burgers but at the end we ordered 3 more with extra cheese and at the end they were even better. My friend was looking for bacon but for me the crunchiness of meat was enough. Very good balance of flavours. I tried many burgers but probably this is the best in London. I was a bit sad realising they removed the green salad with walnuts from the menu cuz it was really good but I understand can be because the seasonal changes etc. Another must to try are the potatoes with aioli. We also got other dishes but I would say these 2 were the best. The pub was full but the service was fast. The kitchen is not big but they are very organised. Same with table service, we had some requests and the blonde girl who served us was really nice and patient haha I forgot to asked her name for the mention Overall a great experience! Thank you guys!
