Best Organic Food Restaurants in Barnes

Great french food and service ... Brings back happy memories of when restaurants used to cook at the table. Looking forward to going there in the summer and dine in the courtyard

We went for a valentines day meal and I am struggling to find any fault. The meal was outstanding; an excellent mushroom and wild garlic soup followed by Chicken ballontine. This was followed by the best creme brûlée I think I have ever had. Accompanied by a great wine choice, this represented great value for money in terms of quality. What makes the difference however is the level of service. Professional, polite, attentive but not intrusive. The owner also came around to make sure things were fine with his customers and it was very clear that he really cares for his customers, his staff and the dishes prepared. 1st time at Sparrow Italia - Mayfair and we were not disappointed. The staff from hostess at the door all the way to server (s) at our table were courteous, impeccably dressed and eager to assist as needed. Waiter was knowledgeable of the menu and offered suggestions. Food was excellent, perfectly prepared, served timely with a break between courses. Desserts were fabulous.

One of my favorite dinners ever in London. The food is very good. I had the veal chop which was outstanding. Wife had chicken with insanely crispy skin also great. The room is beautiful and elegant. The staff are all very professional particularly Taddeo who helped us and front of house Paul is first class. There are a lot of great restaurants in London, but none like this- this place is special. We first went here 36 years ago when we last lived in London, there’s a reason it’s still here. 

Unusual to have to ring a bell to get into the restaurant, but did add to the homely feeling of the restaurant. Food was excellent and the wine list had enough choices. Enjoyed the evening here, maybe because it was quiet as there were only a few other guests.
