The Black Horse in the village of Fulmer is nestled between Gerrards Cross and Pinewood Studios. The 17th Century craftsman’s cottage has gradually been extended to form a charming country pub full of nooks and crannies. Under new ownership, The Black Horse has recently undergone extensive refurbishment both inside and out, creating one of the nicest pub environments in the area.Food is our passion and we will never compromise on quality. We are proud of our seasonally changing menus, simple, yet exciting using the finest ingredients and locally sourced produce.     We visited Reis Bar and Grill in Ruislip on a Saturday evening around 7 PM, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. My partner had the tomahawk steak with chips (10/10, by the way), our little one had chicken nuggets and chips, and I ordered the sea bass. The cocktails were not only delicious but also Instagram-worthy, with great presentation. The food was served with a dramatic dry ice effect, which was a nice touch. The waiters were warm and attentive without being overbearing, which made us feel really comfortable. Booking online was seamless, and everything ran smoothly. Unfortunately, my son wasn’t feeling well, so he didn’t eat, but I ended up sharing some of the tomahawk steak, and wow—it was incredible. The sea bass was nice, and the sauce was good, but it wasn’t quite my kind of dish (I’m a bit fussy with food). To top it off, we ended up meeting the manager - thanked us for our visit at the end, which felt really genuine. We’ll definitely be back for the fantastic food, cocktails, and just the overall good vibes.

    Prawn and salmon starters were excellent. Less impressed with the fish curry that was made with coley, was ok. The bhindi dopiaza was nice. The ambiance is good and the decor looks great, a welcome addition to Chorleywood. Service was a little slow at times but friendly. Came to about £55 a head with only one drink so a little steep considering we had tea instead of dessert. Would go again but not for the fish curry!

    Delicious food in lovely comfortable restaurant; service was impeccable; wine ordered was a quality product; we thought the set lunch provided great value with free basket of hot bread with some sauces Overall a great experience as we had a lovely leisurely afternoon over lunch and we will definitely repeat this soon
