Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Belgrave

I visited this restaurant last year and enjoyed an excellent Sunday roast so decided whilst in the area to revisit.The staff were very attentive again and it was really busy but I was left a little disappointed with the meal. It was very good but I don’t remember having my meal last year served all piled on top of the mash.The French beans weren’t cooked enough for me but other than that it was very good.

Chef's Table experience was a fantastic evening to end January. With a couple of last minute cancellations we ended up with a group of six very experienced "foodies" and had Matt Cheal almost to ourselves (albeit on a busy night in the main restaurant). Starting off with a glass of champagne and 3 sample wines we were greeted by Matt and shown into the kitchen to be introduced to the rest of the staff, look round the kitchen and marvel at some of the technology (like the remotely monitored herb garden !!!). then we were taken through to the private dining room for ten courses of absolutely top class food. The tastes, presentation and general quality of food delivered was as good as anything as any of us had eaten recently at "star" places locally and although the prices are similar, it is definitely worth every penny. Matt (Cheal) and Head Chef (also Matt) were both attentive and the evening was just a stream of information and banter. As mentioned earlier, it is expensive, BUT, compared to most restaurants at this price, it is definitely exceptional value for the experience. Four and a half hours later, we had definitely been well fed, educated and entertained.

Absolutely fantastic place can't fault it at all. I'm usually here every couple of weeks, love now that you can book via the app so easy to use. Thank you so much for being fabulous 👌

Was a very nice mother’s day treat young children welcomed and thankfully had guten free kids menu and measures in place to avoid cross contamination on gluten free foods.
