A rural public house serving local beers, Berkshire gin and ciders, as well as a great wine selection. Bar snacks and full meals available 7 days a week. Dining with girl friends on a Wednesday night so not busy. Excellent food. Great service but not too intrusive. I had three courses and finished them all which I never normally do. I'd recommend it for small or large groups. We will definitely be going back.

Our second visit within the last month, and this time in the Dining room with direct view of the kitchen - a great improvement on the previous setting. Again we shared the slow cooked shoulder of lamb , this is going to become our favourite dish.

Nice location and ambience, it got a bit busier and noisier when more people came in. Food was very nice. A bit disappointing that several of the mains did not come with potatoes and the only choice of sides was chips or mac n cheese; mash or roast potatoes would have gone better with our choices of mains
