- LLeeDerbyshire •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoSometimes you get what you pay for, yes price a little higher than your average restaurant but the quality of the food and service is excellent. If your looking for something a bit different and a real treat I can highly recommend giving this a try, we had the 3 course menu and every plate was delicious from start to finish, will definitely be returning 5*****.More infoDarleys RestaurantPrice: Expensive• British• Derby•4.5
- KKathrynYorkshire •5 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoLove this place - from the cocktails to start with, to the petits fours with the coffee at the end. It’s all brilliant. AS well as the menu there is homemade bread and butter, canapés, soup. Great as well that we don’t need to drive. There’s a bus from Sheffield (x17) which takes you straight there so you can taste the cocktails and drink from the lovely wine list. Non-alcoholic cocktails brilliant too. There are separate vegetarian and vegan menus not just ‘vegetarian option’ added at the last minute. All in all a great meal out with high quality food at a reasonable price. Not cheap - but the quality is worth the spend.More infoStones Restaurant MatlockPrice: Expensive• British• Matlock•4.9
- MMichaelManchester/Greater Manchester •3 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 16, 2024Fabulous food in a splendid setting. From the moment you enter you know you're in the right place for a great experience. The staff were friendly and just attentive enough, not too much, just right! . We had the taster meal and started with canapes in the open fire warmed bar. Every dish was a delight. Highlights for us were the scallop and mackerel tartare and the red mullet but everything was superb. great combinations of tastes without being fussy or complex for the sake of it. The wine flight took us out of comfort zone of big Spanish and Italian reds or bone dry Italian whites. A smokey oak aged Californian pinot noir and a dense Saperavi stood out; all the choices complemented its dish perfectly.More infoThe Peacock At RowsleyPrice: Expensive• British• Matlock•4.7
- JOJenniOLondon •4 reviews4.0Dined on Jul 28, 2024We don’t normally go out for Sunday lunch as we enjoy cooking at home but friends were coming to stay and we wanted a little more time to chatter and relax. This was a seriously good decision ! 3 x Beef and 1 x Lamb. All perfectly cooked and presented with flair (yorkshires and roasties were perfect) We all enjoyed our various starters, the home made slaw with my short rib was nothing short of delicious) the dressing on the heritage tomato and burrata salad was superb with a slight kick. Yum I need to recipe. Good house wine - both white and red. It did take a bit too long for the starters to arrive but that gave us the chance to catch with each others news. Too full for pudding but a cracking Sunday lunch. Highly recommended particularly because this is real chefs cooking; so much more of an occasion than the production line, run of the mill offerings in some venues. We will return.More infoThe Bulls HeadPrice: Moderate• Contemporary British• Belper•4.6
