The staff was so polite and considerate and I could tell they were very busy. They still made time for us to feel special. We sat at the bar as we waited for our table, and the bar staff even brought us our check without having to ask for it. The waitress was Fantastic and made amazing recommendations. Although we weren't seated right away the wait wasn't no more than 10 minutes as they were very busy with sold out reservations throughout the evening/night. While we waiting they came around with complimentary champagne for everyone, it was great. Food and menu were top tier and we enjoyed ourselves. This is absolutely my favorite restaurant! Is the only place that I go where I never put anything on the steak. No salt or pepper or anything. The way it is seasoned and the way it comes is perfect every time. I’ve been going to J. Gilbert for 25 years and it’s amazing that I’ve never had to send anything back to the kitchen. Lovely waitress, two excellent appetizers we shared (pear salad and tuna tartare) and both excellent dinners (black sea bass from the specials menu and paella).
