- AaronNew York City •8 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had a celebratory anniversary dinner at the Tabard - which was outstanding in every way. First, we were seated promptly and in the quiet corner we had requested. Secondly, the place simply drips with a warm and comforting atmosphere. Thirdly, our server was friendly and super attentive. Fourth, the manager came over twice to make sure all was OK. Fifth, to help us celebrate bubbly and super delicious limoncello arrived on the house. Sixth, our food was simply delicious - frisee salad, hangar steak, rockfish, a side of carrots, bread with mushroom butter, and earl grey creme brulee - all super tasty and beautifully plated and served. This was not inexpensive but was a superb value for the money. We were visiting Washington - if we lived here we'd be regulars!More infoTabard InnPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Dupont Circle•4.7

A group of college friends had a chance to gather for the Holy Cross vs Georgetown game and ended the day with a very special dinner. The service was attentive, warm and happily added a seventh seat to our table for six. Our waiter described the offerings beautifully and each part of the meal was even better than explained. This was the perfect spot for such a special dinner and one that will long be remembered.More info1789 RestaurantPrice: Expensive• American• Georgetown•4.8
- BBrianWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was my second visit to the restaurant within a month, and I'm pleased to say it was a much smoother experience than the first. The service was attentive and helpful, and the food was outstanding. We started with the Caesar salad, which is likely my favorite dish on the menu, followed by the Fritto Primavera. The Caesar salad was crisp and flavorful, while the Fritto Primavera was perfectly fried and accompanied by a delicious dipping sauce. For our main courses, my wife had the branzino and I opted for the pork shank. Both dishes were superb—the pork shank was tender and fell off the bone, while the branzino was complemented by a lovely caper sauce that truly elevated the dish. As for the ambiance, we visited in the early evening when it wasn't too crowded. The restaurant had its Christmas decorations up, which added a warm and festive touch to the atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be returning.More infoOlio e Più - DCPrice: Expensive• Italian• Washington•4.4

And there was also music playing which made it hard to hear other people at our own table of 4. If you wear hearing aids communication would be close to a lost cause.More infoIron GatePrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• Dupont Circle•4.6
