- CCatherineToronto / Ontario •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe experienced a wonderful three course prix fixe dinner for two offered through Winterlicious, but Amano regularly offers special 'experiences' and menus. Three courses and we could (almost) not finish the generous portions :D Plus, there are delicious options for gluten free or vegetarian customers. We thoroughly enjoyed a couple of signature cocktails to start: Gazzoza Smash and Torino 1786. The sauce for the branzini was to die for, and pairing it with rappini was genius. The porchetta was perfectly cooked, so tender, with fantastic flavour. Tiramisu is sublime - light and yet so flavourful. Pavlova is decadent and light at the same time-the blueberry sorbet is a taste bomb! Finishing with excellent decaf cappuccino was a treat and a deal at only $6 (take THAT Starbucks!). Overall a great dining experience in a classy, comfortable, quiet atmosphere.More infoAmano TrattoriaPrice: Expensive• Italian• St. Lawrence Market•4.6

The Secrette Bar upstairs was a nice surprise - would return there next time - the atmosphere is more conducive to relaxing and I prefer small plates.More infoGeorge RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Financial District•4.8
- GGail ElizabethVIPToronto / Ontario •12 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe will be back for Tuesday Half Price Oyster night! Although we had booked to celebrate my husband's birthday, taking up the opportunity to enjoy east coast oysters at an affordable price, was a nice bonus. East coast oysters are the best and the healthiest! They were fresh, delicious and when I asked for extra horseradish and lemon, it appeared at the table in moments. We found the wait staff quite wonderful, and the manager pointed out that our corner banquet was #39 so when we come again, we can ask for that table. The rest of our meal was terrific, and the sparkler on my husband's cheesecake was a nice touch for his birthday. Tuesday was a nice night for us because the restaurant wasn't too noisy and crowded. Loved those oysters!More infoThe Carbon BarPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Financial District•4.6
- JJingToronto / Ontario •2 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoAppetizer: Maftoul is good! The puff pastry is very crispy and fragrant, and the meat filling is a Middle Eastern specialty with just the right taste. It retains the original flavor without being too strong. Main course: Braised lamp shank is delicious! The sauce has a bit of an oriental sauce-braised flavor, but with Middle Eastern spices. When the plate was served, you could smell the rich aroma of spices. The lamb was stewed very well, and my friend and I were so silent as we were busing on eating. lol Dessert: Baklava is too sweet to me. The server suggested ordering a baklava and a caramel pudding 🍮, which was very conscientious because baklava was really sweet to us, like eating syrup directly. Oh, and I suggest going for dinner because there will be a belly dancing performance in the evening. So I would recommend you to have a good dress, because the dancer will pull you up to dance with her.More infoThe Sultan's TentPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Financial District•4.6

The food and service were both excellent. I highly recommend the Tartufo pasta and Salumi pizza!More infoARDO RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Sicilian• King East•4.6
