For Charleston the food was reasonably priced. Found the two wines we tried to be very dry & light. Pinot Grigio & Under Table Red. Brown Ale was very good. Thanks for a great Valentines! Will come back to try your flatbreads!More infoWell Hung Vineyard and RestaurantPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown Charleston•4.2
- CCareyVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe had Abby, the best server ever! Experienced a very VERY minor issue with one of the dishes we ordered and decided to replace it altogether. Two different managers came by and were so apologetic which was so amazing and demonstrated their commitment to service and quality. This wasn't our first visit and certainly will not be our last. Thank you for making our Valentine's Day perfect and thank you Abby for the beautiful rose.More infoTavern & TablePrice: Moderate• American• Mount Pleasant•4.6
- OTOpenTable DinerVirginia •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoWe had an amazing meal! I had the supper juicy and crispy fried chicken and collard greens that were absolutely scrumptious. I also had macaroni and cheese but while it was good it was also pretty typical standard macaroni and cheese. My husband had meatloaf and mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy and he said it was also delicious. He tried my fried chicken and greens and said he did prefer that meal over his. That just shows how absolutely amazing their fried chicken and collard greens are! Definitely cannot go wrong with that meal!!!More infoVirginia's on KingPrice: Moderate• Southern• Downtown Charleston•4.6
- PPennyAtlanta •4 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoOne of the best meals I have ever had. I started off with the pear salad. It was light and absolutely delicious. I asked the waiter if I could substitute the sides to the short rib. I asked for mashed potatoes, green beans and fried onions. Not only was the food amazing, the presentation was beautiful. Chef layered the ribs and sauce on the potatoes, then topped with fried onions. He placed the green beans all around the plate. It was a beautiful presentation. My husband ordered the pork chop for dinner and he said it was one of the best. For lunch the next day, I ordered the pear salad again, and John had the shrimp and grits. Both were amazing. Thank you Chef Terrell Funney for delicious meals!More infoThe Swamp Fox at the Francis Marion HotelPrice: Moderate• Southern• Downtown Charleston•4.4
- SBSarahBWest Palm Beach •6 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 11, 2024Let me start by saying Mike is an incredible host, server, chef, and historian. This was a one of a kind experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique culinary experience in Charleston. While it is not a conventional restaurant, Mike takes you on a culinary journey of 18th and 19th century low country cuisine, keeping things as authentic as possible while still appealing to our modern palates. Each dish was carefully crafted and thoughtfully prepared. The table was full of strangers, but we all got to chat and listen to Mike’s wonderful presentation of Charleston history to go along with each dish. Our specific meal was centered around Legacy families of Charleston, so we enjoyed dishes each family would have also enjoyed. Mike deserves all of the attention and reservations he can handle. As he says, he’s one of Charleston’s best kept secrets, and I believe that to be true because I had a fantastic experience.More infoHistoric Charleston Supper ClubPrice: Very Expensive• American• Downtown Charleston•4.6
