   Outstanding place to have a special dinner. We had a window seat and had a wonderful dinner, served by an outstanding server. We have been going to Pier W on and off for over 50 years. We especially love to go there on Christmas Eve!

   we arrived for Happy Hour before our dinner- Q was great- well attended at bar - hostess also found us and took us to front window table as requested. From there is when issues began- my salmon was opaque, not red as ordered, our waiter Nicholas did a fine job but after delivering my husbands fish, disappeared when I had to return fish- instead of leaving me with at least the veggies, I was left with no food at all- ordered mahi mahi to not continue bad experience- however husband finished and my fish as I saw nursing my wine- the view could not detract from my becoming upset- we talked to dining room mgr and told him to forget the plate, my birthday dinner was not going to be eaten alone as husband sat - we requested refund for the no-show fish- Not one aplogoy- not even the restaurant manager who was quick to notice we needed to add $14 to the gift card we used, ran after us- we let him know that we expected an apology and not to dine solo on my birthday- that we have come there every bday/anniversary for 20 yrs but this was our last visit. The place was not very busy at the time we needed assistance/new plate- in fact while it was early (there was not the usual packed dining room)- I let him know that I would be posting a review and it would not be glowing- he didn't seem to care- he mumbled something of sounding like "sorry" but too little too late- The restaurant has not updated or changed, the numerous of patrons has and they may have already experienced lackluster food/attentiveness by management. Servers were fine- just a shame. Left hungry and yet with bad taste in mouth!

   Being across the aisle from the tables at the window, the view was awesome. The hostess and our waitress were friendly and welcoming. The piano player was filling the room with jazzy holiday tunes and the buffet was constantly replenished. We liked the included drink with the amazing variety of carefully prepared, fresh dishes. We loved the ricotta blintzes, beef and potatoes, salmon, pepperoni with brie, and bouillabaisse. The variety of delicious desserts wowed us, too. The bundt cake was amazing with a frosting that had just the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. Even though our reservation was at 1:45 (brunch hours were listed as 9-2}, the staff made sure that the service and food quality was five-star. We look forward to bringing our out-of-town kids' families the next time they visit.

   It took a very long time to receive our food that was ordered i.e. French toast and Waffles. Also, I had to request orange juice twice before it finally came. My server was polite an apologize stating she had a large table of 20 upstairs, this should have been assigned to someone else. The supervisor should have assisted if they were overbooked. Also, the waitress who was providing the drinks was not friendly at all.

   We had a great buffet experience, as expected. The food was high quality and delicious There was great variety with several new salads offered. The service was very good, but when a 10 top was seated next to our 4 top the service slowed down a bit. This was an excellent way to celebrate my birthday and spend time with friends. We will definitely return.

   We always love Pier W. Our waiter, Alexis was terrific. The service was exceptional and we so enjoy the piano in the evening… Unfortunately the food didn’t measure up for two of us. The pork chop was very salty and overwhelmed by the sauce. One of us had the tuna which was good but the rice that accompanied it was literally cold. Still one of our favorites in NE Ohio.

    Restaurant Review: A Perfect Celebration for My Fiancé’s 24th Birthday Last night, we had the pleasure of dining at Pier W, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. We were there to celebrate my fiancé’s 24th birthday, and from the moment we walked in, everything exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. The staff went above and beyond to make the night special, starting with a warm greeting and a surprise birthday acknowledgment for my fiancé. The food was phenomenal. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We started with the calamari as our appetizer, it was the best I have ever had. I got the Grilled Mahi as my entree and my fiancé got the Chef’s special (Swordfish). Both dishes were above and beyond. It was clear that a lot of thought and care went into each plate. What truly stood out, though, was the personal touches. At the end of the meal, the staff brought out a complimentary dessert for my fiancé. We also enjoyed complementary champagne with our meals. This was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last. Pier W made this milestone birthday celebration absolutely perfect, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. If you’re looking for amazing food, stellar service, and an unforgettable experience, this is the place to go!
