Tucked away down Dean Street amongst the hustle and the hipsters is the Pierre Victoire, one of Soho’s favourite dining institutions. This little haunt has been serving up rustic French cuisine to loyal regulars for over a decade, and this is still one of London’s favourite places for date nights and cosy pre-theatre meals. Part Provencal, part Art Nouveau, the dining room at Pierre Victoire is decorated with whitewashed walls, chalkboard menus, a vintage piano, eclectic artworks, untreated wooden floorboards and wine bottles stuffed with drippy candles, and the wholesome home-style cuisine and moreish wine is all delightfully affordable. With a steak-centric menu, Pierre Victoire also serves tasty omelettes, creative salads and plenty of seafood.

Good food, reasonably priced, nice restaurant and friendly staff. Quite noisy on last visit but it was christmas party time so no real problem and only to be expected.

Considering it was 14th December and the restaurant was rammed I can’t believe how the staff deal with the pressure and noise , hats off to them

We come often, but this time when I mentioned the wine was not in a good condition, the waiter argued with me before finally seeming to comprehend.

I had a booking for 6, our table was in the downstairs area, in a corner of the room. We were very tightly squeezed in, shortly after we sat down a large company party arrived, followed by two further tables of 6 and 4. The whole area became extremely crowded, it was almost impossible to hear anything, and trying to eat our meals was difficult, as there was no space between each other. I dread to think what would have happened if there had been an emergency which required us to leave quickly Despite that the service and food were good.

Booked early same day, lots of people were turned away. This is a small restaurant and very popular. Fantastic jovial atmosphere. Service was very attentive, food (salmon and steak) were both excellent. Will return when we can.

I’m so gutted. As I love this place. The restaurant messed up one of our orders which had us waiting an extra 20 mins for one persons starter. Because of this it pushed our meal back. Our time on the table was running out (they only allow 1h30 for 5 people) then at the end was removing plates while we were still eating to hurry us up. Put the bill down before we asked for it. We still had drinks left. It was just rude.

Food was very nice and the staff helpful but the tables were so close together, my friend and I struggled to hear each other speak. Even though the food was good, don’t think I’d go back for this reason.
