Tucked away down Dean Street amongst the hustle and the hipsters is the Pierre Victoire, one of Soho’s favourite dining institutions. This little haunt has been serving up rustic French cuisine to loyal regulars for over a decade, and this is still one of London’s favourite places for date nights and cosy pre-theatre meals. Part Provencal, part Art Nouveau, the dining room at Pierre Victoire is decorated with whitewashed walls, chalkboard menus, a vintage piano, eclectic artworks, untreated wooden floorboards and wine bottles stuffed with drippy candles, and the wholesome home-style cuisine and moreish wine is all delightfully affordable. With a steak-centric menu, Pierre Victoire also serves tasty omelettes, creative salads and plenty of seafood.

We wanted a special meal as a couple and following a meal here in Jan 2024 decided to come back. Great food and attentive staff. Best French Onion soup ever followed by Duck Breast and steak and frites. Nice Chilean Red in carafe and complementary bread. We would not have known about this restaurant if it wasn’t for a Society meal but we now know and will be back. Just great French cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Love this place.

My recent experience at Pierre Victoire was deeply disappointing due to the unwelcoming and unprofessional service. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel unwelcome, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Despite having a reservation, our dining experience was marred by a series of unpleasant interactions with the waitstaff. The restaurant was overcrowded and uncomfortably warm. After finishing our main course, our waitress abruptly cleared our table, including our unfinished bread, without asking. When we pointed this out, her dismissive response and rude "calm down" remark were unacceptable. While she did return the bread, a simple apology would have been more appropriate. As we were finishing our wine and considering the dessert menu, a waiter approached us and rudely demanded to know if we were going to order anything else. Despite our polite response that we were still thinking, he sarcastically repeated our words and, once again, removed our bread. His aggressive questioning about our "problem" further escalated the situation and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. The final straw was the same waiter aggressively throwing our bill on the table. This disrespectful behavior left us feeling unwelcome and completely ruined our evening. While the food was satisfactory, the appalling service overshadowed the entire experience. I strongly advise seeking out establishments where customer service is valued and respected.

We have used this restaurant many times for pre and post show meals. Would recommend if you want good quality French Food in a lively environment. Attentive, but not pushy staff.

Crammed too many tables into a small space-barely any space to move/breathe. Many tables left due to lack of space. Food was good but service poor and borderline rude,

Haven't been here in a while. The food was very good, although the service a little on the slow slide, you had to ask for drinks....
