Thanksgiving at Pinewood was a hospitality disaster. Despite having a reservation, the host informed us upon arrival that we would likely wait at least 30 minutes for a table and encouraged us to look for seats at the bar. She also informed us that the restaurant was out of turkey; the whole reason we came was to have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. We did indeed wait 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated despite approximately 30 people leaving- most having vacated tables- within about 15 minutes of our arrival. There were children running all over the restaurant, many in pajamas, oddly enough. After being seated, we waited about another 20 minutes before anyone ever came to our table. I tried to order the turkey plate without the turkey (because they were out of it), but the server quickly informed me that that wouldn’t be an option because “we don’t do any type of substitutions” and that they had run out of turkey over 3 hours prior. I wasn’t asking to substitute another meat for turkey, I simply wanted the traditional Thanksgiving side dishes that came on that plate and would have still paid the full price for it even without the turkey. Instead of an entree I had pumpkin pie alone after having not eaten the entire day due to working a grueling shift as a first responder. I miss getting to enjoy the traditions of most holidays because of my job and was very excited to finally get to have a “normal” Thanksgiving dinner after years of not being able to. I passed on several invites to friends’ homes for a late dinner after my shift to go to Pinewood’s “Thanksgiving dinner” and am very sorry I did. Effectively managing and honoring actual reservations, properly planning for and stocking enough traditional Thanksgiving food, and requiring guests to parent their children could have prevented all of this. I’m still shocked at the level of unprofessionalism we encountered. I’ve patronized Pinewood since its inception, but after this I won’t be back.

Food was ok, the bar experience was great, ambience. Then it goes downhill, they stuck us in a room by ourselves and forgot about us. The waiter seemed to be in a hurry to end his night. We ordered our food. 45 minutes later we finally got our food. EVERYTHING AT ONCE. Salad, main courses and dessert. What a mess, we will never be back unless I have 3 hours of my life I can just throw away.

Disappointed I had a 5:30 reservation, it took an hour to get a table, then ran out of turkey. Which was the reason for having Thanksgiving dinner there!

Reservation was for 5:15, told they were running behind, which was fine since it was Thanksgiving that was understandable and not a problem. Told we might be able to get a bowling lane and then told it was all booked when there were 4 open lanes all night, again not a big deal. The service at the bar was great however there were at least 4 or 5 empty tables the whole time and we weren’t seated until around 6/6:30 and our server didn’t come by for at least 20/25mins after we were seated, again Thanksgiving and I get it. The service at the table was not good, very inattentive, sporadically showing up and we had to flag him down every time we needed something, told the food we wanted was unavailable and there weren’t any sides available, just overall disappointing experience and I won’t be back.

For the 5th year in a row, a group of us close friends looked forward to having Thanksgiving at Pinewood Social. Our 3 pm reservation meant nothing: after an hour and a quarter and several inquiries, we asked a waitress if we could sit at a table in the "waiting area" that had been empty for 15 minutes, She informed us that it was a "first come first served" table so we grabbed it. The hostess never told us this. Food has always been superb but this year, something is amiss. The menu no longer included pumpkin cheesecake or the dreamy Turkey sandwich or the to die for Brussel sprouts. Our food was abysmal. The turkey plates were stone cold, overly salted and drowning in gravy, the burger was very undercooked and served without a key ingredient and with incorrect sides. The salad dressing was inedible. But all was not lost. Our server was awesome. The manager was kind and humble, offered no excuses just offered us whatever we requested to make it right. And she comped our entire party. We showered our server with enormous monetary thankyous and left thankful for the kindness and "make it right" attitude of the staff. We love Pinewood Social and hope that whatever recent changes have been implemented are reversed and the kitchen and reservation system revamped. Will we try Pinewood Social next year? It will be a hard sell so we shall see. We love the atmosphere, the youthful ambiance and the free parking. Easy in and out, great to be part of downtown Nashville. Here's to a return to the Pinewood Social we love

After going there last year for Thanksgiving it was good and decided to go back this year. The food was fair this time. One family member enjoyed the scallop dinner. But unfortunately looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner it was cold. Everything on the plate. All 4 plates of my family members who ordered it. Not even luke warm. Cold! Very disappointed. They overall did not seem to be prepared in the kitchen as our waiter said they were running behind but to send out cold food in no way is acceptable. Almost like they had pre-plated meals sitting there for who knows how long. The manager took off one meal but that’s not even it, we wanted to have an enjoyable good traditional Thanksgiving dinner. And did not…

Great waitress but very busy on Thanksgiving. Had reservation at 2:15. Finally got seated at 3:30. Waited over an hour to get food once we ordered.

We arrived at the restaurant on Thanksgiving and our table wasn’t quite ready yet so we were sent to the bar to wait. We found a seat and ordered bloody marys. The bartenders were very friendly and we got our drinks quickly. They were very busy but their service was great!! When our table wasn’t quite ready we were taken to the table and seated. Once our food came it was hot and the portion on the plate a lot. Food was fantastic the service was great and the waitress was very friendly!! This was our first visit but not our last!!
