    good Italian food and dual language fun warm building and many wines to select from essential for us---efficient and meaningful service--hot dishes and unpretentious--good booking service----courteous and respectful throughout

    I totally recommend this lovely restaurant the food is terrific in a great setting. The staff are very helpful and friendly and we had a most enjoyable evening. When the weather is good there is a sitting area outside which overlooks the water and the creek. Would highly recommend this place.

    We booked for Sat at 6.30 hoping it wouldn't be busy. How wrong we were. We couldn't sit down easily without hitting the table behind us due to the tables being rammed in. The person sitting on the end was repeatedly knocked by waiting staff as they walked past. The food had to be handed down the table as the staff couldn't get to them. It was very loud. It was sweltering and to finish it off it appeared that anything cooked in their tomato sauce was overloaded with salt. Needless to say we won't be visiting again.

    After a worrying start when the restaurant didn't have our booking we did enjoy a very nice meal although the evening was spoilt by the suggestion we would have to give up our table at 8.30. Fortunately that time came and went.

    This is the third time we've eaten here and have not been dispointed! Staff are friendly and welcoming and happy to recommend dishes. Their ever changing specials menu means that there is always something new to try (we can heartily recommend the seafood platter with prawns, scallops and sea bass if it's on!) They are extremely welcoming to families with children (young or older). We look forward to returning, especially after our waiter told us about the lobster available in the spring/summer 😃

    The meal was well presented and tasted great. Portion sizes were just right and delivery of each course was just about right. No long waits despite the restaurant being full. Service was very efficient and staff polite.

    After taking my partner out for a Valentine's day surprise on the 13th of Feb and participating in various activities I booked a reservation at possilipos for the evening. Having never been before I was a little worried at first as the evening had to go perfectly! (As Valentine's day should..) The service from the very beginning, from the door being opened for my lovely lady upon arrivial to helping us retrieve our coats before leaving was impeccable. The staff were kind, polite and patient as well as human.. which is always nice. The food. The idea of the meals we had are mouth-watering, everything was beautifully presented and was very, very tasty! The wine. Our waitor selected our wine for us, my partner having red, myself having white as we wanted something different but were not entirely sure which to choose. The waitor selected a lovely wine for us both, needless to say my partner and I were very pleased. When my lovely lady went to the rest room as cheesey as this sounds I requested cheekily that a flower be placed on the table before she returned to which the waitor happily obliged, this actually made her night as it was something I did on our first date and she loved it! My partner and I are still talking about this restaurant 5 days later planning our next trip! Big thank you to possilipos as a whole, you were the icing on the cake finishing our evening off perfectly!

    We have been dining at Posillipo for the last 4 or 5 years and we have never had a bad experience. The food is excellent, especially the splendidly crafted specials. The staff are very welcoming and polite throughout the meal. The restaurant has a great astmosphere and is beautifully furnished. I particularly like the Italian crafted beers, and my wife (who is always looking ahead to pudding!!) loves the sorbet. All in all a perfect place for a lovely meal and evening out.
