   The restaurant is pretty and the staff is friendly. The server was very good and also very friendly. Unfortunately, our food took very long not sure what happened but we were told it was the lobster that took long. Overall very nice place. We will visit again

   We have been to Center Cut many times and had good experiences, but not this time. We went on Valentines Day, arrived at 5:00 and sat at a high top table in the bar area. Nice atmosphere. Noise level was good; however, at 6:00 a band started to play. It was so loud we could not really talk while they were playing. The music was appropriate, but too loud for the space and a romantic Valentines Day dinner. We ordered the Halibut and the Lobster special. The fish on both dishes was dry. The lobster had a tough consistency, like it had been in a freezer too long. We decided to pass on desert because 1) it was too loud, 2) the entrees were both disappointing.

   This is not a knock on the restaurant which I enjoy but I made a last minute reservation and arrived 15 minutes later at 7:15 on a Monday evening only to be informed that the restaurant had closed its kitchen at 7:00. It would have been nice to know that this was happening or had happened before I arrived.

   Our meal was expertly prepared and served--tasted fantastic! Our server was helpful and amazing and didn't hover. If you want to chat over your meal, make sure to request a table far from the live music like we did.

   First time dining here. Delicious meal at a great price point. Our server was excellent and attentive. Will definitely be back.

   LIVE MUSIC Toooooo LOUD to even have a conversation! Please pull the plug on sound equipment for all performers and insist on acoustic only. The place could have nice atmosphere, but the music is deafening; therefore, reducing the overall experience to a less than average rating. Check the online noisey/loud reviews, they’re all correct. It’s past time this place makes adjustments. 129 is such a gem for Grayslake… I sure hope they listen to this simple suggestion, so customers can keep coming back.

   Frequent customer to Center Cut, decent food and atmosphere, and like supporting our local businesses. Probably the last time we go. I received my bill and found they began to add hidden charges for use of a credit card. No communication anywhere or from the wait staff regarding this charge. This is simply fraud and the consumer would not know unless they examine the bill closely. What a poor business decision, hope the $3 mattered at the loss of a regular customer.
