   This was my second time dining this week and both times the food came lukewarm. It had the impression it had been cooked earlier and just quickly reheated.

   All food we ordered was fantastic. The “make a plate” option was a great deal for what you got. I ordered the flank steak w/ smokey chimichurri w/ house salad, fries & roasted broccoli. That whole meal was $15. Service was great. Only minor complaint was how close together the tables were. I understand being able to fit more people in at once. It just made the dinner less of an intimate setting. Didn’t hinder the overall experience though. We’ll be back!

   We are frequent visitors to 56 and have been there when it busy and when it’s less-than. I have never witnessed the place as hopping as it was in Valentine’s Day! Here’s the best part: why wife and I still had an intimate dinner, the food was amazingly consistent (excellent) with their usual standards, and service was impressively attentive and quick, just like always. I don’t know how they do it, but this establishment never disappoints! Which is why it’s on the top of our list of favorite neighborhood night out destinations. BRAVO!

   Usually their pizzas are really delicious, but this time it was a bit under baked. Didn’t really matter since we enjoyed the delicious cauliflower “wings” appetizer and they were delicious! My husband had the beef & cheddar sandwich which he really liked. We took our leftovers home and had a second meal. I baked the pizza a bit longer and it was perfect

   Great service from Elizabeth! Loved Roman too, he provided answers to all my questions about the history of the restaurant. It was an absolutely lovely experience land the food was delicious!

   Worst dinining experience ever! DO NOT eat here. They not only changed the menu, food took an hour to get out, no one asked about refilling waters, we said we wanted our food to go and then it finally came out and it was wrong and cold. Never going back
