a la Lucia is a neighborhood restaurant in Old Town Alexandria. We specialize in homemade traditional Italian Fare and Italian Wines. Owner Michael Nayeri has been in the Washington Restaurant Business for over 20 years. We offer Brick oven Pizzas, Patio Seating, and Kids Menus. Our Private Wine Room is available for all types of parties up to 40 guests. We have a Full bar, specializing in Wine, where we broadcast all major sporting and news events.

My first time back in 5 years - booked a reservation for a special day. Food was Ok - expected more based on history. Service was almost as bad as it gets. I am more than willingly to give private feedback if desired. Needless to say- I won’t be back.

A La Lucia is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. You know when you eat here the food is good and the wait staff is attentive but not hovering. Bonus the price is right. I highly recommend a la Lucia before the close.

The linguine pasta seafood dish was delicious and very light as was the Wedge Salad with lots of blue cheese. Chicken Parm good too. Don't miss the Tiramisu for dessert. Server was extremely sweet and efficient.

Love this place. Food is awesome, people are warm and welcoming. Alas it will be closing by the end of the year they say, so you better get there ASAP to enjoy the food and ambiance before they close. The building is being torn down for redevelopment. We will be back before the end of Dec.

The food here is always good, and A LA Lucia always has a robust local clientele - people who come all the time. They have daily specials, wonderful bread with olive oil, and servers who also have been there awhile and who know the offerings by heart, and can describe them. Go when you can because the building there will eventually be torn down, and we will lose another great little pearl of a restaurant in North Old Town. We've already lost Thanida Thai and Perks from this location. A LA Lucia keeps on truckin' despite the ambiguity of when the building will eventually go. Try it, you will like it - authentic Italian.
