   The experience was subpar. I ordered some sashimi and nigiri to start with - the fish was broadly tasteless/flavourless and the rice was not great. I followed that with the Wagu ribeye. The wasabi butter sauce was too much and smothered all over the steak, with the flavour overpowering everything. The waiter offered to prepare a new one but it was done for me.

   The service and view was amazing, however I have had better fish for the price. I would recommend the restaurant for the view, the service and the drink menu!

   Many thanks for taking care of my mother and I to the best, professional staff ever at Akira Back. You all made us return evening after evening during our holidays and made us feel super each and every time. Food was amazing as well as the specific ambiance you were creating for us to enjoy. Kind thanks for everyone, especially Raiyan, Sushmita, Tengku, Erica, Apurba, Sophia, Prasanna, Nayar and naturally our Chef Giovanni.

   We had a joint 18th / 50th birthday celebration for my daughter and me. The staff at reception were lovely and welcoming as were the waiting staff. As the kids were under 21 we were shown to our table, but the bar area looked very cool and a great space for a pre-dinner drink. Initially, we had a table inside, but my wife and daughter found it rather chilly. The staff were very good and re-seated us outside in the VIP area which was much better. We had a great table with views over the Palm, the Burj al Arab and, in the distance, we could see Downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa. We shared the Akira Sampler as well as a few additional sides and Signature Rolls all of which were beautifully presented and very tasty. My wife and daughter raved about the King Crab Fried Rice whilst my son had two bowls of the miso soup! At the end, the staff prepared a combined dessert for my daughter with sparklers which was a nice touch. Adding in a glass of champagne and a carafe of saki, the meal came to around £500 for the four of us to dine and we all left fully satisfied. We loved the experience, the friendliness of the staff and will be returning for sure

    Fantastic food, great service. We sat outside which was warm but a nice breeze, great views. Highly recommend
