   We had a fantastic lunch experience sitting at the bar this time, our server, Justin was very knowledgeable and a great guy !! All of our food was cooked perfectly and delicious and I look forward to our next visit . Thank you

   I dined here the last two evenings for business. Service was exceptional both times with different waitstaff. The valet were also very friendly and even recognized me and thanked me for coming again. Unfortunately, that’s where the compliments stop. I’ve eaten at this location several times over the years and the food has always been very good. I’m not sure what has happened but it has gone WAY downhill. The first night I got the sea bass over lobster risotto. It looked beautiful but it was very bland and there was only one tiny piece of lobster in the entire risotto. The ‘special potatoes’ tasted like they had an inexpensive processed cheese over the cubes potatoes and the creamed corn had very little flavor. Not to make the same mistake again, tonight I got the Caesar salad and the 10 oz filet. Had it not been for the texture of the salad dressing I would’ve sworn I was just eating lettuce. Even the single crouton couldn’t save it. The filet came out under cooked and appeared to be a very poor cut of meat. The fondue chocolate cake (which was described to be similar to a molten chocolate cake) was cold. When we inquired if it was supposed to be cold the sweet waiter apologized profusely and explained that perhaps they forgot to turn on the microwave and warm it up. My mouth nearly hit the floor… I looked at my customer and asked if he heard the same thing I did… “microwave?!?” I’m not sure if they’ve had a change in chef or what the situation is, but I hope they rectify it. Al Biernat’s has always been a great go to for business dinners, and special occasions, but given the last two experiences, I do not plan on returning unless I hear something changes.

   Our server, Travis was pleasant, professional and attentive. He kept the meal moving along without being intrusive. He explained the specials well and in such way that 3 out of 4 of us ordered the special. With the exception of one steak being a little overdone everything was excellent. Because of the overdone steak Travis comped a couple of desserts without our asking for it. Very nice touch. We will return.

   Food and service are always good. My first time there for lunch. I appreciated the special birthday dessert for my guest. I especially enjoyed seeing the steak salad on the menu. Brought back fond memories of when Al (RIP) ran The Palm in downtown Dallas.

   Al Biernat's for lunch is a great thing, since most of the upscale restaurants don't open for lunch any more. We were there on a Thursday at 11:30 and by noon it was BUSY! Wine list is extensive and affordable. Service (Marco) was absolutely wonderful. While we ate, we noticed all the servers keeping an eye on their tables. That's a refreshing difference from so many places, where they congregate and talk among themselves without regard to the folks they're serving. Food was really great too - perfectly prepared halibut for the wife, a chicken salad sandwich for me. Both were wonderful. We hadn't gone to Al Biernat's in a long time, but we realized what we've been missing. We will make this a regular place for lunch.
