   We have been to Amare a few times but this time our pasta was quite disappointing. There was barely any seafood and the sauce tasted store bought. Kids food was ok but seems to have had a significant price hike on the kids meals as well. Overall I feel “fair” was spot on for our visit.

   Food was amazing as always but disappointed to see that we were charged for the chilli and Parmesan cheese that we requested to have with our pasta and even a charge for bread. Most Italian restaurants provide all 3 free of charge.

   A hidden gem; Amare Cucina Pizza Bar is a slice of authentic Italian heaven in Blairgowrie! Every bite of their cuisine made our hearts go “Mama Mia.” The pizza (Norma) was perfection—thin, crispy, and melted in our mouths with fresh, flavorful toppings. Their pasta? Absolutely divine. We honestly cried with joy with every bite. And don’t miss the tiramisu—it’s the perfect sweet finish! They also offer a great variety of vegetarian options, which is always appreciated. The service was warm and responsive, with the attendants treating us to smiles and thoughtful recommendations. Jasmine, in particular, was fantastic—every suggestion she made was spot on and elevated our entire dining experience. If you’re craving authentic Italian food with exceptional service, Amare Cucina is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back!

   Amare is a gem on the Peninsula offering amazing and authentic Italian food that is a cut above the rest. A great place for lunch outside on a sunny day or warm evening. This was our fourth visit. We had fish of the day and spag marinara after sharing a frito Misti for entree accompanied by an Italian Pinot Grigio ($68) that was chilled to perfection. All full of flavours. We were then suggested the tiramisu by diners. It was exceptional. Highly recommended. I’ve heard the pizzas are excellent if you want a cheap lunch or casual dinner.

   Wifey and I were given a voucher Waitress was friendly and attentive Wait time acceptable for time of year (jan2025) Menu pricing as expected, a little on the high side but not a surprise compared to most other restaurants, not comparing to cafe’s. Food quality was good, fresh and fair sizes. Ordered: -entrees seafood with prawns, calamari and white bait- fresh and tasty - mains linguini with seafood in bianco- a little too dry. It enough sauce but overall nice dish and grilled calamari could have done with a little more bite ( chilli or something added) otherwise good volume and flavour, super fresh. Std drinks affair beer and mojitos -Would we dine again…it didn’t leave that kind of impression admittedly but certainly worth a try.

   Service was slow, as we were standing outside waiting to be seated for 5 mins- in that time no one had acknowledged us. Pizza was nice and the base was thin and crispy. The seafood pasta was average and very little pasta. We had to keep asking for water and peeper and salt.

    Family run business who are so welcoming and hospitable. Food is always delicious as we’ve been here a few times now. Beautiful authentic Italian decor. It’s a staple restaurant for us now especially with three little kids. They’re fussy and never disappointed
