Amarone Restaurant is a modern Italian family run restaurant, serving traditional and authentic Italian flavours in Towcester.

Our goal is to offer you a warm welcoming experience, of exceptional quality, traditional snd authentic Italian dishes.

In our restaurant, in a friendly and family atmosphere we are looking forward to share with you all your upcoming memories. Whether you are visiting us for a romantic night out, large party or corporate event we guarantee that you will be looked after by our friendly and attentive staff.

The food was, in the main, underpowered for want of a better word. The calamari batter was lacking any seasoning whatsoever, and there was nothing crunchy about it either. The prawns were small and obviously frozen not fresh. The risotto was soupy and the piece of fish served with it was overcooked and dry - and when I pushed it to one side and then mentioned it, there was no reaction from the waiting staff at all. The handmade ravioli also lacked flavour and we had to ask for Parmesan and for pepper to try and add a bit of interest to it. To top it all off the raspberry panacotta was solid and tasted overwhelmingly of sugar with no trace of raspberries anywhere to be found. We may give them one more try once they've been open for more than a week but they're going to have to seriously improve if they want our custom on a regular basis.

Our son recommended Amarone to us. We booked a table for an early dinner. The restaurant soon filled up. We received a warm welcome, showed to our table. Attentive staff. Clean, nicely decorated environment. Very comfy chair. Fab menu, great choices and prices. Highly recommend the homemade tomato & basil soup, prawns in garlic, ravioli with mushrooms, chicken with spaghetti, chocolate brownie and tiramisu. We ate well with a glass of gorgeous Italian wine :) We will definitely be going back :)

Excellent food, good variety, attentive service and generally lovely restaurant. Will be back to try some more of the menu soon. Lovely to have a nice Italian in Towcester again :)
