   We made a last minute reservation at Ambar to reunite with some friends returning to DC after a year, and had a great time. We had to take a bar reservation on the 2nd floor, but it turned out to be a great experience. We ordered the Restaurant Week special of unlimited small plates for $55/person, and most dishes were very good, with some misses, but overall excellent. Service was friendly and quick, and the ambiance was fantastic.

   Great date spot. Went for the winter restaurant week promo. My girlfriend and I both got the unlimited drink and meal deal. Great variety of dishes and the value great. Worth going back in the future.

   I was in DC at a conference and this was walkable from DC Westin but such a nice break from conference world! The server was so friendly and willing to provide recommendations when we had trouble deciding. He encouraged us to try EVERYTHING that interested us. The food was outstanding and we tried 8-10 different plates, not including desert. Servings were modest which encouraged us to try more things than we might have and we could re-order if we liked something. Highly recommend.

   Ended our brunch service 20 minutes early. They ended it at 3:40 instead of the 4pm which menu and website says.

   May be my best restaurant experience yet, and I actually consider myself a foodie!! The service (Nemo?) was exceptional and the food was plentiful, delicious, and well-paced. Two hours was perfect for all you can eat! Such a pretty place too!! Go there if you have a chance!

   A Mixed Experience The food, drinks, and ambiance at this spot were definitely enjoyable. We visited as a large group, and they were able to accommodate us, though the restaurant itself is quite tight on space. Our table was very close to others, and the noise level made it tough to have conversations with both the waiter and the people sitting next to us. The biggest letdown, however, was the service. We were left waiting for over 10-15 minutes before we could get a server’s attention. I had to actively ask what was going on and whether we could place an order. While the all-you-can-drink deal is a phenomenal price for sangria, bloody Mary’s, and mimosas, the refills took too long. On the plus side, the food was really good. There were options to satisfy everyone in our group, but the service just didn’t keep pace with the rest of the experience. Overall, if you're looking for solid food and drinks, this place delivers. The price is good for an all you can eat and drink DC brunch experience. Be prepared for a noisy, cramped atmosphere and slower service than expected.

    My partner and I went for brunch. We love the hospitality, food and vibes. The Balkan food was not only healthy, but tasty. We loved the pita bread and beet tzatziki, white bean hummus, chicken sliders, vitamin salad, scrambled eggs, bacon, mushroom flatbread and Carmel apple waffles are some of our favs. We made reservations to sit at the bar and it was a great spot. We will definitely be back soon.
