Alpha Estate is one of Greece's most accomplished winemakers, founded in 1997 by one of the country' foremost wine experts they now showcase arguably some of the best terroir in all of the Mediterranean. Join us for a unique tasting that would otherwise only be possible by visiting the Alpha Estate's cellar in Greece for a vertical tasting of the iconic SMX bottlings. Featuring grapes native to Mediterranean climates, such as Syrah, Merlot, and the iconic Greek grape Xinomavro. Our Beverage Director, Thomas Kakalios, will personally pour and guide you through the library release tasting of wines from 2003, 2007, 2012, & 2015 in order to study the nuances of the wine's evolution. Paired with bites and spreads from our kitchen, this is the perfect event for a lover of wine who is keen to learn more about the ascendant trajectory of Greek viticulture.

This was our first time here and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Started with a warm welcome from the lovely hostess and continued with fantastic service from everyone we encountered. Food and drinks hit the spot and the ambiance was spot on. Can’t wait to visit again!

I’ve eaten here about a half dozen times now and nothing disappoints. From the lamb and entrees to the meze and specials, everything is great - even the baked goods in the morning on weekends. I stop here every time I’m in town.

Andros Taverna is such a great spot to get Greek food that has a really nice flare to it. There are lots of Greek places in Chicago that are really casual. At Andros, everything is really fresh, and all of the dishes have a good little elevation to them that makes them feel very authentic, but also really exciting. The space is really well done. It's nice enough that you feel fine dressing up and having a fancy date, but cool enough that you can come in a tshirt and jeans. It's a great balance. Our service was really fantastic. The host greeted us really warmly and took us straight to our table, and our server walked us through everything, and did just the right amount of checking in on us and paying attention to when we might need more drinks or be interested in some additional dishes.

We were seated after 8pm for a 7:30 reservation. They told us the party before us was just paying around 7:35, and the restaurant allowed them to stay seated at the table for another 30 min with us waiting in the front. They were mildly apologetic and didn’t offer to cover a round of drinks or dessert. Disappointing considering how fabulous the service is at the other restaurants in this group.
