   We had a great birthday lunch here - superb roast dinner with great selection of veg. Dessert was huge helping so be prepared if you’re not sharing! Great service always & an unexpected birthday surprise - thank you so much!

   Really tasty lunch for four and very comfortable way to spend and afternoon. Excellent food, the fish and chips were the best, and lovely desserts, crumble and cheesecake. Great service.

   We visited the Angel on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly waiter called Jack. We had the Sunday roast. I had the beef and my husband had the trio of meat roast. The food came quickly and tasted delicious. We then both had apple crumble with custard for dessert. All the food we had was lovely. Our waiter Jack was very attentive ensuring we were ok. We will definitely be back soon for another meal.

   We were told what wasn't available to start with. Then when ordering was suddenly told that there was more things unavailable! Some food was cold and microwaved not freshly made. Only one waiter working who because he was busy kept forgetting things. There was no gap between starters and mains which made us feel we were rushed! The quality of the food did not match the price. Unfortunately we won't be going back!
