In addition to fresh fish and seafood, Aqua Mare Cucina Italiana in Del Mar serves fresh homemade pasta, risotto, chicken, steak and vegetarian options. We love coming to Aqua Mare for special occasions! The view alone is worth eating here, but coupled with the delicious food and delightful service, you are sure to have a memorable experience.

This restaurant is the old Villa Capri which was in Carmel Valley for many many years. The new location is pretty and in a great location. The food was just as amazing as I remember it to be - there is no better Chicken Marsala anywhere! Service was delightful as well! We will be back!

The food was very, very delicious. We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and it was ALL good. And, our server, Katia, was amazing. It was our first time and what a neighborhood gem. We will be back!

After a not so good experience when they first opened we decided to try again because the food was so good. Once again the food was delicious but it is quite loud and the kitchen is very slow. The servers were very friendly and helpful but the food comes out of the kitchen slowly. So, if you are out for a leisurely dinner this restaurant is wonderful.

Went there because we thought it was Villa Capri. Not the same at all. You had a great restaurant in a strip mall that was unbelievable. Now you have waiters that can't even remember the names of the dishes. So sad. The only thing that was the same was the Austin Hope. Yet it was still cheaper by the glass than the bottle. Hello??? But I am comparing this restaurant to the original... no comparison.

I want to like this restaurant so much! The location, the vibe, the energy…but the food was disappointing. I got our waiter’s favorite dish and it was just…okay. The two cosmos I had were TERRIBLE. Tried to improve with grand marnier, squeezing more lime, adding my own cranberry juice. Nothing helped. BRING BACK GORAN! He knows how to make a good drink! Bread—ennh—very average. I often judge a restaurant by its bread. This is an Italian restaurant! You should have better bread. Service was fabulous however!
