On Thursday, March 13th at 6pm, we are honored to host Eleonora Fenocchio of the legendary Giacomo Fenocchio estate in Barolo for an intimate dinner at Arden. This is a rare opportunity to experience a selection of their cru Barolos—wines that exemplify the historic power and elegance of Piedmont—alongside a very special skin-contact wine that has never been available in the Portland market before. For over 150 years, the Fenocchio family has remained steadfast in their commitment to traditional Barolo winemaking—long fermentations, extended macerations, and aging exclusively in large Slavonian-oak casks. Their wines are known for their purity, elegance, and an unmistakable expression of terroir. At this dinner, we’ll be pouring two of their Bussia Cru's side by side—an extraordinary opportunity to explore the nuances of one of Barolo’s most historic and renowned sites. Nestled in a natural amphitheater, Bussia offers ideal sun exposure and complex calcareous-clay soils that create wines of power and finesse. We will end the night with a special library pour of Bussia to see how these outstanding wines age. In addition to their world-class reds, the Fenocchio estate has begun producing tiny amounts of an orange wine made from Arneis, called Anima Arancio. This wine, fermented on its skins for 30 days and aged in amphora, is a textural, aromatic marvel—one that barely leaves Italy. We’re thrilled to be able to pour it at this dinner. This is an evening for lovers of Barolo, of course—but also for anyone who appreciates wines with history, integrity, and a true sense of place. Join us at the table. Tickets are limited—reserve your seat now! Ticket price includes service charge.

Outstanding dinner. The beet salad was really enhanced with the yogurt and crunchy topping with African spices. My spaghetti with foraged mushrooms and brown sauce was also delicious, if sky over salted. The cured ocean trout on waffles was creative but flavorful.

As usual, Arden remains at or near the top of our list. Great neighborhood wine bar/bistro with unusual menu options. Love the Stoner's Scoop for dessert!

Excellent meal and great, helpful, friendly and seamless service by the whole team very much appreciated (we have owned fine dining restaurants for over 40 years). Shared a very tasty roasted beet appetizer. Wife is gluten intolerant and a special marked-up menu was quickly presented. She had a wonderful, melt-in-your-mouth black cod fillet with miso butter. I had the butterflied pork chop Milanese with curried cabbage - flavorful and moist, but the breading made it a bit heavy. Thick pieces of excellent Ken’s artisan bakery bread served with salted butter (no gf bread option). Too full for dessert, but couldn’t resist small scoop of delicious chocolate-coconut sorbet and chocolate malt ice cream ( which could have used a drizzle of dark chocolate sauce). Good wine-by-the glass selection (mostly international). I loved the $25/glass promotion to support the LA fire-fighting team - and this week’s Bergstrom Cumberland Reserve PN was delicious! All in all all, a lovely experience. Will recommend and return.

A completely delightful experience every time we go. The staff is super warm, knowledgeable and quick to help with a suggestion. The food is always seasonal and 10/10. You can’t go wrong but we always seem to think the starters are the most memorable. Full of flavor and creative combinations!

The dining experience was tremendous from start to finish. We enjoyed the Burrata as an appetizer and then dived into a couple of wonderful entrees (blue fin poke and pierogi). Finally we shared a panna cotta that was fantastic. The service was excellent and we left knowing we would definitely be coming back.

An absolutely exceptional meal. The food was hands down, one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Two of us are GF and there was not a shortage of menu items to accommodate. On top of that, the service was fantastic. They went above and beyond to help make it a really special night out with old friends. We can't wait to go back!
