    Mar 13, 2025 only
    6:00 PM
On Thursday, March 13th at 6pm, we are honored to host Eleonora Fenocchio of the legendary Giacomo Fenocchio estate in Barolo for an intimate dinner at Arden. This is a rare opportunity to experience a selection of their cru Barolos—wines that exemplify the historic power and elegance of Piedmont—alongside a very special skin-contact wine that has never been available in the Portland market before. For over 150 years, the Fenocchio family has remained steadfast in their commitment to traditional Barolo winemaking—long fermentations, extended macerations, and aging exclusively in large Slavonian-oak casks. Their wines are known for their purity, elegance, and an unmistakable expression of terroir. At this dinner, we’ll be pouring two of their Bussia Cru's side by side—an extraordinary opportunity to explore the nuances of one of Barolo’s most historic and renowned sites. Nestled in a natural amphitheater, Bussia offers ideal sun exposure and complex calcareous-clay soils that create wines of power and finesse. We will end the night with a special library pour of Bussia to see how these outstanding wines age. In addition to their world-class reds, the Fenocchio estate has begun producing tiny amounts of an orange wine made from Arneis, called Anima Arancio. This wine, fermented on its skins for 30 days and aged in amphora, is a textural, aromatic marvel—one that barely leaves Italy. We’re thrilled to be able to pour it at this dinner. This is an evening for lovers of Barolo, of course—but also for anyone who appreciates wines with history, integrity, and a true sense of place. Join us at the table. Tickets are limited—reserve your seat now! Ticket price includes service charge.

Overall great experience. The food was delicious, but the service made it even better. Very attentive to the table, replaced every dirty dish or utensil before the next course.

An unassuming location and ‘storefront’, the menu was modest on first read but the plates and flavors were outstanding. The service was available & knowledgeable, but never overbearing.

As usual, delightful in all regards. Our primary server a bit impatient, less than warmly gracious, qualities found in all the other servers

We love Arden and tonight was no exception. Service was above and beyond. We sat at the counter and did ala carte, sharing all dishes. Citrus salad and Ken’s bread with cultured butter. Pierogies, and Bavette steak for 2 with truffles which was divine! Finished with the BEST Basque cheesecake (or cheesecake period) we have ever had. Each course we paired with wine or a cocktail suggested by our server. No complaints. Can’t wait to come back!!
