   I adore this restaurant. The menu is interesting and eclectic, the ambience is casual but elegant with just a touch of kitsch. The food is always outstanding.

   This was my second time at Aster with my wife, and it's become our favorite place in Midland to go out and eat. The food and service are second to none. You will not be disappointed going to Aster.

   I'm not sure what chef did to the crispy potatoes but they are to die for! We had Sunday brunch there and the food and drinks were excellent. Our waitress Taylor was so bubbly, kind and friendly, we felt like we were at someone's home. I had the duck and it was delicious. We highly recommend this dining experience.

   I'm glad we have a farm to table restaurant in town! The mussels and cocktails were great, but the pho still needs a little work. I was hoping for a richer broth.

   We ordered drinks and brunch. The duck confit tostadas were AMAZING. I’ve tried duck prepared by many chefs, always with the hope of liking it, but this is the first time I went back for a second, third and fourth bite (it was my dining companion’s meal). I got the BEALT with the redskin potatoes, and it was great as well. The potatoes had this extra crispy layer that added just that little oomph. The service was superb, our server was attentive without being overbearing. I wish it was busier in the restaurant because it really is a hidden gem and should be the type of place that’s packed all the time, and would be worth a wait.

    It’s always a nice experience dining at Aster. I love that the menu changes, the chef usually comes out to visit and it a cozy cool looking atmosphere. And never thought to comment on how loud it is cuz that’s one of my pet peeves. It’s not vet loud at all! You should try it!
