   Booked the place for valentines day - place was cramped up and literally I would not plan a dinner there for any major events. The appetizer was amazing and server was kind and keeping everyone patient. Think they had overbooked so it was like business over quality and service. We plan to be back when there is no major event so we can really enjoy the place. The DJ who was signing was amazing and the best thing for the day.

   We made our choice to go because Baar Baar stated online that it was participating in restaurant week. We arrived to discover that was not so; that the only menu available was a very limited ‘ brunch’ of 3 entree choices. Our waiter clearly told us that he would honor an a la carte price for our two entrees but when the bill came he had charged us the prix fixe of $45/pp. He then had the gall to become indignant when I mentioned the overcharge. He spoke perfect english so language was not the issue. After enduring a long and noisy live musical performance, we were quite ready to write it off. While I love to be spontaneous and embrace surprise moments in nyc, this was just a typical bait and switch.

   Went to check it out for restaurant week. Drinks were a bit pricey. Would definitely go back.

   Great food and service! I ordered a drink and did not like it, so they exchanged it for something I wanted and did not charge me for that! Thanks for the fantastic service and experience!

   The food was amazing with unique twists to each dish. The paneer was so soft it didn’t even feel like paneer. There’s lamb chops are a must try. Definitely a place a to visit again

   We've eaten here before and this last visit was for Summer Restaurant Week and once again we were not disappointed! The kitchen churns out extremely eclectic southeast Asian cuisine and while the menu may seem bent towards the many districts throughout India, there are heavy influences from Thailand and beyond. It's hard to describe the the way the flavors meld so harmoniously together. The Chef has done a great job not only with the alchemy of flavor and spice, but also with texture. Virtually everything we tasted this last visit was delicious. The amazing Paneer Chilli Roll was the standout appetizer and while all the entrees we had were good, unfortunately the Fava and Corn Kofta was dud and just didn't live up to the standard of everything else we ate that night. Service is attentive and the bar churns out very good cocktails. The Meer Naam Joker may have been the best rendition of an Old Fashion I've ever had. The biggest criticism I have is it is EXTREMELY loud and very difficult to have a conversation....but if you can stand a lout environment, go for the amazing food and great cocktails!

   I had an amazing experience at BAAR BAAR during NYC Restaurant Week! The 'Chicken Avocado Green Chickpea' dish was outstanding—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and made the evening even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be returning soon to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience.
