We are a gastropub specializing in Cuban and Peruvian flavors. While still adhering to age old family recipes, we strive to be innovative and open minded, just as our ancestors were when these flavors were first imagined. Here at BaBaLoo, we want to take on this multicultural challenge by providing the most authentic dining experience that Lake Havasu City and Palm Desert have to offer. Cuba and Peru are rich in history, and nothing tells that tale better than their diverse flavor combinations. We take ideas from cuisines around the world; Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Caribbean, and African flavors have heavily influenced Cuban and Peruvian food throughout history.

Food is good, plentiful and interesting dishes. Wife had ahi rice. Ahi was fresh and the sauce was excellent. I had the Cuban sandwich. Absolutely excellent. There was live entertainment, 60’s rock music. The volume was not too loud the band was pleasant, the vocals were difficult to hear as the sound system was not well balanced. Overall we will go back.

A great visit on Saturday night. Our service was very personal and attentive. Impressive with a live band going with hits from the 60's & 70's. Lots of fun for dancing and not too loud for the club. Good wine and craft beer selections. Our meals were excellent. Well cooked with a combination of wood fired Cuban flavors. We ordered the sampler special, the ahi appetizer, the Babaloo salad, & the chicken marsala. Good presentation, good flavors, and timely service. Absolutely nothing to improve. Comfortable booths and lots of space make Babaloos a regular visit spot.

I arrived at 7:10 for. 7:15 reservation. Hostess asked if we could wait at the bar for 10 minutes while they got the table ready. After almost an hour at the bar I told my wife I think they have forgotten us . She went to the hostess and yes they had forgotten they sent us to bar. It took about 10 more minutes to get a table. Then literary no one ever showed up to wait on us. I asked a server if they could find our waiter and he never returned. Then I approached the hostess and asked if anybody was going to wait on us….. she shrugged , I got my wife and left.

We went on a Monday night. It was super weird but we were the only people in the restaurant at 6PM and when we left at 7, there was only one other couple and a small group of golfers walking in. The patio area is large and nice. The food is unremarkable. We went to try Cuban food but the menu is a weird bit of American, Italian, Asian and some Latin American. It could be hopping with a band and other humans but not that night.

Atmosphere was friendly and lively, and we like their booth seating arrangements; very comfortable and intimate but still in the hub. On the Saturday night we went the place was jumpin, which was a problem for the wait staff. They tried hard but it was hard to keep up I guess. The menu is very innovative, but a few of the dishes, like the Fish Ceviche which consisted of uninspired slabs of fish with no avocado or anything to make it more appetizing, and the Caprese with not great tomatoes, seemed off. Their Calamari and their hamburgers and chunky amazing fries are super yummy. The entertainment, St. Andrews Fire was excellent entertainment and made the evening very fun with dancing and singing along.

A fun and lively experience! We were able to try new foods, Peruvian and Cuban in a lively atmosphere with live music! Our waitress was great, and the band - St. Andrew's Fire were a fun group covering all eras of rock and pop. I loved the booth seating, it felt very glamorous and the decor was very fun and festive. It's a local favourite, you can tell by how everyone mingled. We really enjoyed it!
